I’m Tia - Welcome to Abroad Edit!
I'm Tia, an American musician based in Barcelona. I've been living here for over a decade, performing solo and with a band at hotels, rooftop venues, and events across the city. Barcelona got into my bones early and I could never let go.
Abroad Edit started as a way to share what I actually know about living and traveling in Europe: the restaurants that don't show up on lists, the hotels worth booking, the places that make you feel like you're doing it right. I write about Barcelona, Spain, European travel, and the particular kind of life you build when you plant yourself somewhere far from where you started.
Music is at the center of everything I do. Beyond performing, I run Beats for Relief, an organization that supports NGOs through music and live events. It started from a belief that music does something for people that nothing else quite does, and that it should be accessible to anyone who needs it. We organize events, raise funds, and try to use the thing we love to do some actual good.
This site is where the travel writing lives. If you want to follow the music or the NGO work, you can find those at their own homes online.
